what are noisenights?

Each noisenight features a short classical set followed by live music until close, including the top jazz, latin, afrobeat, swing and funk acts on the UK scene.

Live music needs your backing more than ever. Becoming a noisenight backer means getting tickets to hear the world's best performers up close while becoming part of a community working for a positive future for live music.

the venue:

The OSO Arts Centre is an intimate community space set on Barnes Green.

Located in an old postal sorting office, the venue seemlessly merges a high-end theatre space with an informal bar. We're taking it over for two dates in March and converting it into a low-lit jazz club.

the music:

Her Ensemble are the UK's first women and non-binary orchestra. Deriving from the European Union Youth Orchestra, the ensemble brings together a diverse group of like-minded friends who are now some of the most in demand players in the UK and abroad.

Founder Ellie Consta was inspired to form Her Ensemble after realising that in 2019/20 just 3.6% of the classical music pieces performed worldwide were written by women. Their concert will showcase their favourite repertoire: 45 minutes of extraordinary music written for strings.

Later on, award winning saxophonist and composer Emma Rawicz performs 'til close. At the age of 19 she has already recorded her eagerly awaited debut album featuring Ant Law, made up entirely of her original compositions, due to be released later this year.

Her music has a unique sound, fusing all her many influences, and her compositions range from lilting Afro Cuban inspired grooves to hard hitting modern jazz and funk numbers.
