At the centre of every noisenight is a 60-80 minute classical set. We platform international soloists and ensembles while also giving opportunities to outstanding new artists. All noisenights take place in gig venues where you get to experience classical music up close.

Live music needs your backing more than ever. Backing a noisenight means getting tickets to hear the world's best performers in grassroots venues and being part of a community working for a positive future for live music. To put it simply, you giving your backing will make this gig happen and secure you a ticket.

After a noisenight reaches its funding target, we e-mail all backers to confirm that it’s going ahead and a small amount of extra tickets will be made available. Tickets are released in four stages, which increase in price the closer to the event they're purchased. Book early to get the best price.

Please note that the stalls tickets to this noisenight are standing by default. If you have specific access requirements please get in touch prior to purchasing your ticket here.

barokksolistene + bjarte eike

The Alehouse Sessions – curated and devised by Bjarte Eike – is an ever changing and evolving insight into the music of a 17th century tavern. It gives audiences a window into this tumultuous period through overtures, English sea shanties, and Scandinavian folk songs.

This diversion from the traditional concert model is what is at the heart of the Sessions. Through the medium of these well-loved tunes, a story of the period is interwoven into the music making; creating a unique environment between audience and performer. Using their own arrangement of the tunes, these ‘Alehouse Boys’ combine this unique format with humour, an unrivalled virtuosity and flare for improvisation.

assembly rooms

Built in 1787 at the centre of the newly-established New Town, the Assembly Rooms were originally solely a meeting place for social gatherings.

Funded by public subscription, the venue is now used as a multi-arts space, featuring prominently at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the Hogmanay celebrations.
