At the centre of every noisenight is a 60-80 minute classical set. We platform international soloists and ensembles while also giving opportunities to outstanding new artists. All noisenights take place in gig venues where you get to experience classical music up close.
Live music needs your backing more than ever. Backing a noisenight means getting tickets to hear the world's best performers in grassroots venues and being part of a community working for a positive future for live music. To put it simply, you giving your backing will make this gig happen and secure you a ticket.
After a noisenight reaches its funding target, we e-mail all backers to confirm that it’s going ahead and a small amount of extra tickets will be made available. Tickets are released in four stages, which increase in price the closer to the event they're purchased. Book early to get the best price.
Please note that all tickets to this noisenight are standing by default. If you have specific access requirements please get in touch prior to purchasing your ticket here. Due to the venue's license, this event is strictly 18+.
faris ishaq
Palestinian Nay master, percussionist, and composer Faris Ishaq charts unexplored territories with the Nay, an ancient Middle Eastern flute dating back to 5000 B.C. Rooted in his Palestinian heritage, Faris celebrates its cultural legacy in today’s modern musical landscape.
For this one-off performance in London, Bethlehem-born Faris presents Jasad. Arabic for Body, the project draws from the breath-centred essence of the Nay, one of the oldest flutes still in use, with deep Palestinian and Middle Eastern roots (ca. 5000 B.C.). Made of reed cane, without a mouthpiece or mechanics, the Nay responds solely to the player’s breath and intention, becoming an extension of the human body and a mirror to its soul.
In a distinctive setup, he simultaneously performs the Nay alongside a leg-mounted frame drum and foot percussion. Faris fuses Palestinian Tashbib—a percussive, improvisational Nay style—with the rhythmic footwork of Palestinian Dabke dance. Having danced Dabke professionally, he translates its patterns onto the leg-mounted frame drum, shaping Jasad into an embodied expression of Palestinian breath and culture.
oslo hackney
OSLO is one of London's iconic grassroots gig venues. The first of its type to open in the area, it's based in the redeveloped Victorian ticket office of the former Hackney railway station.
They've hosted Mumford and Sons, Dua Lipa, and Alabama Shakes, but noisenights were the first classical shows to take over this unique space. We're returning again after four years of sold out shows.
