NW Live Arts present a concert with influences from W Africa, India, Central and Western Europe, as well as the British Isles at Cecil Sharp House.

With performances by Joe Townsend (violin), Henrietta Hill (viola), Misha Mullov-Abbado (double bass), Kuljit Bhamra (tabla), and Kadialy Kouyate (kora), the programme will reflect the different heritage of each musician.

New composition, jazz, folk inspired music from Hungary and Romania and improvisation will link pieces throughout. Sharing the platform, storytellers from the charity’s creative workshops will interleave the evening’s music with stories exploring the underlying theme.
